Bishop Dr. Perry Smith Sr.
​Servant, Pastor, Educator, Author, Entrepreneur
Dr. Smith is a visionary who seeks to unify, empower, and educate the elect of God, to be able to carry out the great assignment of ministering this great Gospel of Jesus Christ. He also envisions conducting the Kingdom of God throughout the World with simplicity and support. In October of 2018, the Holy Spirit inspired Dr. Smith to plant a church and led him to Beech Island, SC to launch the ministry of Unified Church of South Carolina. Since that time, through the Holy Spirit, he extended the ministry into Blythewood, SC as well. He has served in many capacities in the church. He was licensed and ordained at Macedonia Church of Augusta, under the leadership of Bishop Dr. Gregory M. Fuller. Dr. Smith served in numerous capacities there to include Youth Leader and Chairman of the Men’s Ministry. After serving in multiple capacities at Macedonia, he was asked and accepted the position of Associate Pastor of Shaw’s Creek Baptist Church in Trenton, SC where the Senior Pastor was Rev. R. C. Holloway.
In 2022, Dr. Smith became the 3rd Assistant Prelate for 4A (ABBA’s Army Apostolic Alliance), under the leadership of our International Presiding Prelate Emeritus Bishop Dr. Gregory M. Fuller. In 2023, Bishop Fuller appointed Dr. Smith as the new International Presiding Prelate and the name of the organization changed to Christ United Apostolic Alliance.
Dr. Smith believes in being progressive in Ministry and is a lifelong learner. He has received the following degrees: Associate in Arts, Spartanburg Methodist College; Bachelor of Science, South Carolina State University; Master of Education, Southern Wesleyan University; Master of Education, Cambridge College; Specialist in Educational Administration, Cambridge College; Leadership Add-on certification, Augusta University and an earned Doctorate of Divinity from Deus Divinity School.
Dr. Smith has worked as a Dean of Christian Leadership and Professor at Deus Divinity School. Dr. Smith is a school administrator and has a heart to influence the lives of the youth as well. He has been the member of a number of Boards and President of many also. He is a proud member of Omega Psi Phi Fraternity Incorporated. He is the husband of the beautiful First Lady Pastor Stephanie Smith and the father of three wonderful children Perry Jr., Peris and P’erra Smith.
